Hey everyone,
I'm sure the task of putting together a voluntary board of directors can be tough. I was certainly expecting to struggle with it, especially considering my goal of making the board half buskers, half non-buskers, and for the buskers to be from a range of disciplines.
Thankfully, so many people offered to join the Board that the difficult thing was deciding who not to pick.
So, here's our new dream-team Board of Directors, in alphabetical order:

Charlotte Campbell, UK
Charlotte has been performing on the streets of London for 10 years, using that platform to sell out shows, perform at major festivals, and get her music featured everywhere from Love Island to Cafe Nero. Her single, Free The Night, was crowned the official song of the TFL Night Tube.

James Hessler, UK
James has been a busking magician for over 20 years now. James also created ‘Busktip.com’, to help buskers get tipped – giving him experience on both sides of the fence. He still makes his living by busking, and is looking forward to the changes that Busk can make in others' lives.

Jonathon Goh, Singapore
Jonathan Goh is a Street/Circus Artist that has been performing since he was 10 years old. He is the Co-Chair of the Singapore Buskers’ Association. His goal is to help make busking be recognised as one of the principal forms of culture found in Singapore.

Laura Macdonald, UK
Laura is a pretty seasoned board member, with a background in development and policy strategy in the public, private and third sector. Currently a Company Director and undertaking (slowly) an MBA, Laura has a wealth of experience with fundraising, mentoring and events.

Matthew Gardiner, UK
Matthew is focused on developing a sustainable and inclusive future driven by digital finance. He sits on several Advisory Boards and has invested in, and advised, a broad spectrum of digital companies, platforms and exchanges. He has a deep network and is a keynote speaker at international conferences.

Meg Elkins, Australia
Meg is a cultural and behavioural economist interested in the arts, information biases and people on the fringes. Currently, Meg is a senior lecturer at RMIT University, and has worked on multiple projects evaluating the economic value of the arts. Her work specifically on busking has been widely cited in the media.

Tristan Risk, New Zealand
Tristan is a cabaret and burlesque performer, an actor, and has cultivated a sideshow and circus collective, The Caravan Of Curiosities, with her partner (and street performer) Burns the Dragon. Together they also offer classes on snake handling and husbandry.

Nick Broad, UK
Nick is a writer an editor who has produced busker festivals, promoted the benefits of busking to cities, the press, festivals and organisations in many countries, pulled together a vast network of buskers and non-buskers alike, and helped build The Busking Project, along with his partner (and certifiable genius) Liliana Maz.
