Dear friends,

A decade ago, Mailchimp was inexpensive and easy-to-use: a no-brainer for an organisation with 0 monthly subscribers and no budget.

Unfortunately, Mailchimp gets exponentially more expensive after you hit 10,000 subscribers, meaning for years we’ve been trying to keep our subscribers to below that number. We’re growing so fast now that that’s no longer practical. So, we have migrated our newsletter from Mailchimp to a service called “Beehiiv”.

This shouldn’t change things for you, but Beehiiv enables the Substack-style model of charging for some content. Don’t worry, the important stuff (like the advocacy work) will always be free to read and share.

There’s a big benefit of switching to Beehiiv: you’ll be able to browse our entire back-catalogue of newsletters, full of great content from the last 4 years (coming soon).

Thanks,

Nick
